Lindsay and Dillon had an incredible Wedgewood Wedding in Carmel California. August is known for being one of our foggiest and gloomiest months. However, these two still lit up the wedding with their warmth and love for each other.

Monterey Wedding Photographer
Hey, there! Before I tell you all about this wonderful micro wedding for Lindsay and Dillon, I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Dana and I am a destination wedding photographer based out of Monterey, California. Photographing weddings is what brings me such joy because I get to be there for an incredible day for two loving people. It’s something I am passionate about and just love doing! With only a few months left here in California before we make our next military move to Japan, I wanted to photograph a few more incredible weddings for a few lovely couples. Lindsay and Dillon are one of them, and it was such an honor to be the one to serve them as their photographer!
Lindsay and Dillon
I want to first start off with saying that first impression mean everything to me. When we met via zoom call for the first time to chat about me possibly being their wedding photographer, I was what we called smitten right away. Of course, more so in the “business” mindset of it. I tell myself every day that I will only serve kind, good-hearted, loving, wonderful people. The ones who love their families, cherish their friends, and are just happy-go-lucky. Lindsay and Dillon are those people.
When Dillon, Lindsay, and I started to talk about some personal things aside from wedding photography. Dillon actually made me cry. He had just said something that spoke to me in a really personal way where I felt related to them. I even felt like I was in a safe place to just be me. As crazy as it sounds, it’s true. Right then and there, I wanted to be their photographer. In hopes, I was hoping they felt the same way in return. Needless to say, I was delighted that they say yes!
As time went on with our relationship, I enjoyed getting to know them more. Their life is based around keeping it fun. They love Disney Parks, watching movies, and going to Baseball Games. At home, they are all about spoiling their cat, Melody. When asking them what they love about each other, it’s that they love the joy they feel and have as a couple.
Wedgewood Wedding in Carmel
Like all weddings at Wedgwood, the couple starts their day by getting ready elsewhere. Lindsay and her sister and bestfriend got dressed at a local Air BnB while Dillon got ready close-by. There, I met up with them to take photographs of the details, the girls in their robs, and just goofing off before the day even started. We traveled our way over to Wedgewood and prepared for the thirty-something guest to arrive for the ceremony located at the Gazebo.

While they all sat down and we waited, I stood at the alter and chatted with the guest. It was so impressive to meet people from close-by ( PNW area ) and even further away, such as North Carolina. All so excited to be here to celebrate the love between Lindsay and Dillon.

It was indeed a foggy ceremony at the Gazebo followed by a portrait session at the beach, but everyone was in good spirits and did not let the weather or temperature interrupt the good and warm vibes we all were feeling about that day.

The reception was a favorite because although small, the room was lit with laughter, good speeches, incredible vegan food (like…so good!!), and well wishes for the bride and groom. To me, small guest count weddings are just as romantic, charming, and personable. You get time with each guest and really get to take in and enjoy the day.
Dillon and Lindsay, thank you both so much for allowing me to capture your wedgewood wedding in Carmel! It was truly an honor to get to serve you both, along with your friends and family! I wish you both the best in all you two do and I cannot wait to see where this marriage takes you!
