Jared and Jessica had a wonderful Club Del Monte Wedding that was surrounded by their close friends and family from near and far! Whether from the area or the East Coast, many gathered to celebrate the love between these two.

Hi, everyone! My name is Dana and I am the owner of Dana Arnold Photography. Currently based out of Monterey, I love photographing weddings for couples all over the U.S. Since 2018, I have been serving all couples who love and value the wonderful (and far in-between) moments on their wedding day. It’s something I am truly passionate about, and am excited to share more today!

Meet the Couple

Imagine two high schoolers entering their senior year. Both from different schools, both with different visions in life. That summer, they were picked to lead their respective high school church groups at leadership camps. There, Jessica and Jared met for their first time and back then, did not know that they would become husband and wife. Many shaved ice dates and sunset watching evenings is what kept them together. Their relationship grew into something incredible.

As their relationship bloomed, so did their love for each other. Whether it’s working out at the gym, watching New Girl or Friends, or taking road trips throughout the country, they never stop caring for each other. Jessica adores that Jared never forgets to say “I love you”, and based on the way he always looks at her, I know he does. Jared loves how Jessica is so Selfless and loves serving other people.

I asked them what they wanted for each other when they get married, and I loved their answer. It’s that no matter where they live in this world, they want to build a marriage that has a solid foundation. They want to live the life that is happy and healthy. One that I can stand by fully, because I am a believer that the little things matter most.

Carmel Mission Ceremony

For their wedding day, Jared and Jessica decided on a catholic ceremony at Carmel Mission in Carmel-By-The-Sea. They drove in from Arizona just a few nights before. Following them were friends and family from all over the country. What I love about the mission is the endless amounts of beauty. Between the renovations, the new garden, and the courtyard, there are so many lovely locations to get photos done!

Club Del Monte Wedding

Club Del Monte holds a place in my heart. It’s located at Naval Post Graduate School, where my husband is currently attending classes for his Master’s Degree for the US Navy. So, when they told me they were having their first looks and reception here, I was excited!

We started the day with first looks with the bride and her father, followed by the bride with her soon to be husband!

They wanted to get in as many photos as they possibly could so they could enjoy the evening (we still kidnapped them for golden hour images though). So, we also did the wedding party at the Club as well. Most of the family images were done at the mission. To me, this is perfect since the cocktail hour can be enjoyed by the bride and groom.

With it being my first time in the ballroom, I was blown away by the beauty of the old and classic beauty! The space was just that, spacious, with a lot of room for dancing. The tall windows were great for natural light and plenty of space to hold a large guest count.

Although it wasn’t planned, I had to sneak them away for golden hour photos near the infinity pool.

Once those were over, the night was filled with a lot of dancing to my personal favorite 90’s hits. Brittany Spears, Chris Brown, T-Pain, and Cali Swag. Everyone let loose, got down and dirty, and just enjoyed the evening at a judgement free reception!
