Jessica and Jake are here in California visiting and to celebrate their marriage, they had a Carmel By The Sea Anniversary Session. These two decided to hire me to photograph it all! As a photographer, I get to meet couples from all over the world. Jessica is actually a photographer as well. The mentors she learned from? Amy and Jordan! She posted on our education page and I jumped on that post, excited she was coming to my area! Now, I am so excited to share all about their anniversary session.

Hey, there! My name is Dana and I am a wedding photographer based out of Monterey. I love getting to photograph the love between two people and sending them a gallery that will make them smile. Recently, my husband and I found out we were moving to Japan. So, I am enjoying my time here in California and serving as many couples as I can. When I am not photographing couples, I am exploring the world with my husband and loving on our dog.
Carmel By The Sea Anniversary Session
A weekend away from Vegas for Jessica and Jake was filled with good food, time alone with each other, and a photo session! We started our session at some lovely hidden gems in Carmel By The Sea. Between alley ways, walk-ways, and flower walls. We decided to add a touch of love, so I hired Angie from Love and Flowers by Angie to create a fun floral piece. With neutrals and light pink, the bouquet was perfect for Jessica’s two dresses she wore.
To finish the day, we drove to my favorite hidden beach, Ribera Beach. I love photographing here because of the rocks, the beach, and the view. Jessica and Jake get to have a variety if images from their session to showcase in their gallery.
What I love about sessions is that even though we start off as strangers, our relationship builds throughout the session. The more we moved around to shoot, the more we got to know each other more. Both Jake and Jessica are absolutely a blast to hang out with and talk all things with. Food, people, experiences. Just anything in general. If you want to go out to dinner with a couple and can handle a wonderful three hour conversation, these two are the ones. Never a dull moment!
