Sam and Brooke had the most beautiful Monterey Beach House Wedding here in Monterey, California. I knew from the moment I met Sam and Brooke at their engagement session a year ago, that this couple and this wedding was going to be unforgettable. I was right, and found myself tearing up not once, but four times during the wedding.

Monterey Wedding Photographer
Hey, there! My name is Dana and I am known to be one of the most assertive wedding photographers here in Monterey. I take pride in that. To me, weddings are a once in a lifetime event and cannot be redone. So, I do whatever it takes to get the photographs that my couples want. From getting ready with their friends, to everyone dancing after a day of fun and romance.
Sam and Brooke
I love photographing weddings for couples like Sam and Brooke. They love their friends and family with all their heart. In return, those close friends and family will do anything for these two. That is exactly what they did at this wedding. One of the groomsman tied the ties for the suits. He also chugged a beer in about 4 seconds; impressive! The maid of honor had a positive energy that was full of smiles and laughter. When I am around her, I could not stop smiling. I swear she was the number one hype girl.
Sam is the type of man who will never stop looking at his bride as if she was the best human in the world. They way he looks at her is a dream that all women want when finding a husband. I myself am grateful I am married to a man like that, and am just so glad that Brooke found that too. Brooke is so warm hearted and joyful. In her, I found a women who loves with all her heart, and loves children dearly. Her fourth graders mean the world to her.

Monterey Beach House Wedding
On a sunny day in Monterey, those who are close to Sam and Brooke gathered at Monterey Beach House for a late afternoon beach wedding. Those from all over the country came in excited to see these two finally get married. Two families turn into one. Like Brooke’s dad said during the speech, you are family to them, no matter who you are. The guest were welcoming and chatting with others as if they were friends for years. Even though they had just met. Everyone was smiling for the camera, anxious to see Brooke and Sam say I Do.

The wedding day was pure bliss. It was filled with tears, laughter, and excitement. There was drinking, good food, and the dance floor was packed the moment it opened up!
At the end of the evening, I went around and asked the guest what their favorite moments were from the wedding day. Here were the top five answers.
+ Brooke walking down the aisle (the moment everyone cried)
+ Sam seeing Brooke walk down the aisle
+ The Speeches
+ Seeing Brooke and Sam happy and enjoying the whole day
+ Everyone coming together to celebrate/dance
I think based on these answers, it’s all about the couple themselves, Sam and Brooke. When I asked Sam what his favorite part of the day, it was putting on the rings. He said in that moment, it felt so real and so right.
Sam and Brooke, thank you both SO MUCH for choosing me to be your wedding photographer. This day was all that I knew it would be. The journey with you two has been amazing. The day had come and gone but you two will always be in my mind and I will always be there cheering you on! Congratulations!

Monterey Beach House Wedding
One last thing before I go! My new favorite game to play at receptions is the table photo game. It is spiced up a bit though, because the DJ plays one song! During that one song, you have that much time to go to each table and get photos with that group! It’s fun to play. When the DJ announced the song and the game, the tables get right up and get into a group themselves, and are excited and cheering the couple on! These photos are meant to be fun! Just take a look at what we captured.
