What better way to start off my 2022 wedding season than with this Beautiful Monterey California Wedding. Their wedding ceremony was held at The Church of Wayfarer in Carmel-By-The-Sea. Following this was their reception at one of my favorites- Wedgewood Carmel! This wedding here is special because the couple won me over from the first time we met. Truly no words on how I feel about these two. Jason and Susan are two incredible people, and it was such a pleasure getting to be their wedding photographer.

Hey, there! Welcome to the blog. My name is Dana Arnold and I am a wedding photographer based out of Monterey, California. If it’s one thing I love doing is blogging. I get to share the story of the wedding day for those who could not make it. This is one thing that I love about my “job” as a wedding photographer. That, and getting to photograph weddings for the coolest couples around. The ones who love to have fun, dance the night away, loves their friends, and enjoys the candid and romantic photographs.
Church of the Wayfarer
It was a sunny and comfortable Saturday down in Carmel-by-the-sea. Just under thirty people gathered in an old church that was surrounded by colorful tinted windows. The pastor stood at the altar with your groom and three other men, all anxious waiting for the bride to be walked down the aisle with her mom. As the organ plays, guest start to rise and time stands still when Susan and her mom enter. On her bouquet, is a photo of her dad, pinned to the ribbon. It was her way of walking down the aisle with him.
Whether far across the country via livestream, or locally at the church, many got to witness these two finally say I Do. In fact, their love is prime example of good that comes out of evil, because they met at the beginning of the pandemic, and have grown over the few years!
I love that these two got married here on this day, and wanted to simply share some of my favorites from this lovely wedding ceremony. Their dog, Jacks, was in the wedding and did such a good job.
Wedgewood Carmel Reception
One of my favorite places to have your wedding ceremony/reception is at Wedgewood. I just love this venue, the options they have, and how they treat their couples and the other vendors. To say I was excited when Susan had told me this is where her reception was going to be, is an understatement. I mean, it also makes for some beautiful photos as well for the bride and groom!

Ya’ll know I cannot blog without giving a huge shoutout to these vendors for making this wedding come to life for Susan and Jason. It comes to show that only the best wedding venues and vendors are the ones that make the magic happen. Having a good team can make or break your wedding day and these did not do this couple wrong!
