Lighthouse Wedding | Pacific Grove, California

elopements

November 29, 2021

Along the California Coast in Pacific Grove stands a beautiful lighthouse that all tourist must visit. Located in the middle of a Golf Course, you can park along the street and walk up to the “must see” spot for the locals and the tourists. Along the back, you can see the ocean. Waves crashing on the shore, golfers playing with their buddies, and a cool breeze that flows through. This Lighthouse Wedding for Princess and Tom was a perfect spot for these two to elope!

Monterey Wedding Photographer

I want to welcome you to my blog, and thank you so much for reading through! My name is Dana and I am a wedding photographer based out of Monterey, California. I serve all couples who love the candid moments. They love laughter, jokes, and just feeling beautiful (or handsome) in front of the camera. It’s my job as a wedding and engagement photographer to take the photos that just ‘look like you’. The images that bring you joy, and make you want to post them all year round. Or, hang on your wall!

The reason I blog is because I like telling the story of the wedding or session for those who could not be there. The distant family who are too far, or the friends who want to know how the engagement all went down. The blog shows the images from the day, and tells a story with all the fun bloopers.

Princess and Tom

A relationship that started on Tinder, and stayed connected because of their obsession with Netflix. Princess is from the Philippines and Tom is a local enthusiast who’s family serves as the Mayor and Mrs. Mayor for Pacific Grove. In fact, Tom’s dad even married them! Both of these two grew up so differently, but opposites attracts. Thankfully, their admiration for each other, and love for food is what is keeping them strong. Both love their friends and family and are kind and helpful individuals.

They were two sweethearts who were such a pleasure getting to serve, and photograph a wedding so small and so intimate.

Lighthouse Wedding

Princess first got ready at a stunning Air Bnb Located downtown Pacific Grove. Filled with an historic and Victorian feel, white flowers, and greenery, it was perfect and secluded for our bride. We got beautiful photos of the details and then took her out front for some Bridal Portraits.

Lighthouse Wedding

The ceremony at the lighthouse honestly went by so fast. I feel like as soon as we all got there, it was time to start the ceremony. Within moments, they had said ‘I do’ and kissed for the first time as husband and wife. The formal photos were my favorite part of the day. It’s where I am the most “bossy” but where the photos are perfectly done. Gorgeous background, golden light, and just fun and intimate moments between the newly weds.
