Half Moon Bay Beach Engagement Session
Hi, I am Dana! A wedding photographer based out of the Bay Area here to serve super fun California couples who value photography. When I first moved here, I was so excited to explore all the beautiful areas and tour venues that will win my heart over. When you hire me as your wedding photographer, you will also get an engagement session. This session is perfect for us to get to know each other more, and for you to get some updated photos of you and your spouse! This Half Moon Bay Beach Engagement Session was one of my favorites!
This engagement session was filled with a beautiful sunset, lots of birds, and a champagne pop! I have been in contact with Allison and Steven for awhile on Instagram, and their engagement session with me has finally arrived! The weather quickly dropped to the high 40’s as the sun set over the water. Both Allison and Steven still kept their spirits up by showing the heat between them two!

Leading up to the session, I loved getting to know more about Allison. Her and I love the same Korean Drama, It’s okay not to be okay. We bonded over the series, custom bridal party announcement boxes, and our love for beaches.
Since I was staying in San Fransisco that weekend, I decided to change our location and have the session at Half Moon Bay Beach. Thankfully, it was not a crowded evening, due to the cold weather. The sunset was warm and glowing over the water, and their were so many seagulls! When we did get down to the beach, there was a small river and on the other side, a small sand dune! I knew a distant shot was perfect for this! Take a peek!

Allison’s dress was perfect for this shoot, with it flowing so well in the wind. Plus, it was great for her skin tone! If you are looking for a dress like this, Baltic Born has the perfect selection with hundreds of colors and styles!

Champagne Pop
The grand finale of their engagement session; the Champagne Pop! One of my favorite things to capture during an engagement session, and such a fun way to end the evening. I got all out for this moment and always make sure I capture the facial expressions when the fizz explodes. When we book your engagement session, I will be the one to provide the bottle of champagne. So, you will not have to worry about that!
The key to having a great pop is to make sure you shake it a lot before you open it! And, when you do pop of the top, continue shaking it by putting your thumb half way over the top. This gives it more of a misty affect!
If this is not something you are interested in having, there is also bio-degradeable confetti! Those are a whole lot of fun! Don’t worry, I provide that as well!
