Peacock Gap Golf Club Spring Wedding

When I was referred Katherine and Johnny’s wedding day, just under two months prior to the wedding date, I was excited to hear all about them and their Peacock Gap Golf Club spring wedding!

Dana here. Wedding Photographer based out of Monterey who LOVES to travel. Shooting weddings is what I love to do, and getting to serve couples who value photography makes my heart happy. When I got the referral from their wedding planner, I was excited. Getting to hear their story, and know that they are ones who serve their community, brought me joy That is what I love to do. Photograph weddings for those who serve!

I felt an instant connection with their vibe, and getting to work with an incredible wedding planner made this experience amazing. Johnny and Katherine are health care workers and have been working long hours for weeks on end, all while planning their wedding. In just a few short weeks, they booked me and I drove up to San Fransisco for their engagement session. Soon enough, their wedding day in San Rafael had arrived.

Spring florals for your wedding ceremony

Peacock Gap was the perfect spot for their wedding day. The sun was shinning behind the tree, giving way to gorgeous light. The weather was warm (in the low 60’s), which is my kind of weather! Let’s also appreciate how beautiful this day was! To make their ceremony even more romantic, they hired a harp player; who did such an incredible job! I highly recommend her, and I will be sure to place her info bellow!

Katherine and Johnny hosted such a personal ceremony. It was romantic, simple, yet elegant. Katherine looked absolutely beautiful in her dress and Johnny sure was looking dapper in his blue suite!

As the wedding day went on, I felt so at home with the wedding guest. Everyone was there to celebrate Johnny and Katherine’s love happily, and safely. I asked a few guest what their favorite parts were, and most of them said the ceremony. Others? Well they talked about the speech and how thoughtful Johnny and Katherine were when thanking everyone for making their day magical.

Serving those who serve; that is why I love doing photography. Both Katherine and Johnny are healthcare workers who have worked endless hours helping those in need during this pandemic, and far before it. I love their hustle in their work and the relationship. I felt it when they told me they work so far away from each other and always took turn driving to see each other. But now, they get to be together for they had rented their own place for the first time since they became a thing! Hard work does pay off, and these two deserve it all!
