California sand dunes photo session
As a photographer in Monterey, engagement and portrait photography is something I always love to offer couples! Whether engaged, or already married, getting portraits done is always a “yes” in my book. It’s something I love to do during the “slow” season. Claire and Parker have been married for about a year. Parker is a student here at at Naval Post Graduate School. Claire flew in for the weekend to see her man for Valentine’s Day! Take a look at their Photo session at Marina Sand Dunes in Monterey California
This session was a bit different, because we ended up having to have two different sessions. It was 5 minutes into our sand dune session that we could not handle the wind anymore. The wind guest was so high, that it had me off my feet, and kept pushing me away. Sand was blowing everywhere, and it was just insane! We stuck it out for 10 total minutes and did capture some really good shots! We finished off with some donuts to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
Hey, Dana here! Wedding and Portrait photographer who is always down for an adventure! I am so excited to be sharing these with you today!

Part two of our fun photo session was at a different Monterey Beach. The colors this evening were perfect for their sunset portrait session. We shot on top of the sand cliff that had the perfect backdrop of the mountains and the sun setting over Carmel. This spot is one of my favorites because the colors are so golden and warm!

Looking for more inspiration for a beach photo session? Check out some of my favorites! These two engagement sessions happened at sunset at Palm Beach State Park, which is located in Watsonville, California.
