On this fall evening, two very chill people were ready to say I Do. All the planning had lead to the day where Todd and Cortney would say their vows surrounded by family and friends. The skies were partly cloudy. The weather was perfect for their outdoor ceremony. Their reception was held in the mystic barn right next to Lady Jane. The Mac and Cheese? Delicious. The s’more kit was ready for use as the sun went down on a clear, moon night. This Rivercrest Farm, Virginia Wedding was everything that Todd and Cortney wanted on their wedding day. I am so excited to share with you how it went!
The Wedding Day
Driving down the long road leading to the barn, I gasped at how light and green it all was. You can see for miles over the Shenandoah Mountains and the valleys in-between. My brain went into background mode as I started to think of where to document photos. The long road was one of them. The barn with the white doors was another. One of my favorite smells from this day was the fresh air and the smell of the bbq filling the open reception barn. Cortney, Todd, and their friends and family welcomed me with smiles as we all started to talk and plan about the day. Cheerful, kind, and outgoing was everyones personality; making them my kind of people.
Both the first look, and the ring review were held on the patio where the ceremony took place. Open space during a fall day and beautiful light made for a perfect spot to go with their simple fall theme. Bridget, the coordinator for Rivercrest Farm kept things on track the whole day! Her skill set was appreciated, and I love working with a planner who is so upbeat and positive.
Cortney and Todd, thank you so much for allowing me to serve you, your friends, and your family on your wedding day! Rivercrest farm is the perfect venue for a nice wedding during the spring and fall, because the view says it all! I wish you two nothing but the best as you grow with each other!
