Micro weddings have become a popular thing in the wedding industry and this Poquoson Yacht Club Wedding was no different. Alysa and her family have been planning their weddings for months now and even during Covid, she was able to have her wedding and marry (again) her husband, Nate. At one point, it was scary and worry-some for the bride (and for me) because his military leave was not approved until just 5 days before their wedding date. So, he was able to fly in from Texas and attend his wedding. There families arrived as well and celebrated with both Alysa and Nate
I felt like family
The moment I walked into the yacht club, I was welcomed by the bridal party and their families. The groom’s dad treated me like his own, the mom was smiling and always chatting away with me, and the bridal party was so easy going and fun to talk to! Even the groomsman got a kick out of their part of the photo session, acting like GQ models. I am pretty sure they even laughed at my sense of humor, like, intentionally. Truly one of the great joys is not only serving the couple, but their families, the best I can. If they can handle my semi-bossy (don’t laugh) personality, then they are already A+ in my books and I will call them family
Alysa and Nate. I want to thank you so much for investing your hard-earned money and trust into me and my photography business. Getting to serve military couples and be there to document such important days in your life is something I love to do. I wish you and Nate the best while in Texas and far beyond the military years you both will serve! Congratulations!
