Poquoson Virginia Wedding

When I think of Moni and Paul, I think their theme song is “When I look at you” by Miley Cyrus, and here’s why. Late 2019, Paul lost his mom and his whole world was turned upside down. During this difficult time, he had met Moni. On their first date, their connection was so strong that they stayed until the restaurant closed. Paul talked about how when he looked at Moni and held her at night, that when he would see her smile, his life lit up. Moni, hearing this, decided that she was not going to move back to Australia and instead, stay here. She would fall in love with him rather quickly. Moni and Paul knew right then and there, they were going to be together forever. I am so excited to share more about Moni and Paul and their beautiful Poquoson, Virginia Wedding.

The Wedding Day

The day of their wedding started out a bit concerning because the weather was not on our side. It was calling for severe storms in the afternoon. However, come lunch time, most of it cleared up and moved south, giving us a perfect mostly cloudy day. Perfect for a bay-front wedding in Poquoson. Moni had came back from getting her hair done and we (Brandon and I) got to work by documenting the day. Their dogs, Cooper and Bentley, were dressed up in tuxedos and were so cute! They were so handsome!

Due to the current situations, Moni’s family could not be there. They live in Australia. Even though it was 3am their time, her family got up and got on Facebook and watched Moni say “I Do” to Paul. It’s exciting that they may be doing this again next year and host a wedding in Australia! And if they ask me to be there, I will say yes in a heart beat 😉

When the tide was low, Moni and Paul made their way down to the alter. There, they said their heartfelt vows, promised to love each other forever, and kissed as husband and wife. The crowd was cheering as they stood on the pier and Copper and Bentley joined in by wagging their tales!

This Micro Wedding was beautiful in every sense and thanks to a great vendor team, we all came together and made this day happen for Moni and Paul!
