October, 2019 Goals!

October 1, 2019

I am a workaholic. There, I said it. I know that the road to recovery is admitting you have a problem, and my problem is that I work so much. Even on days where I tell myself to take off, I end up turning on my computer to edit just one photo… except that turns into thirty photos and 2 hours of work. So, it is because of this problem that I need to do a better job at making sure this stops becoming a habit! Which brings me to motivate myself to make this one of my monthly goals for October! Fun fact: You are more than likely able to achieve your goals if you write them down, tell others, and allow those two steps to keep you accountable! I encourage you to write down your goals for the month and pin them on a board near you! Here is mine that I am really excited to share!

  1. Create and finish my new office.

Fun Fact- We live on the Naval Base in super old housing, where the “best cell phone service” only gives us two bars and 3G, and where wifi only works on one floor of our house. So, my husband and I decided to use the upstairs guest room as our media room. Except we have a whole downstairs with fancy couches not being used. Now, this coming week, we plan to move things around, move our wifi downstairs, and turn the sunroom into my new office! So, that means I am now in search of a new desk, decor, and a white fuzzy rug! My goal is to have this room complete by the end of this week!

2. Celebrate my dad’s birthday by taking him out to eat!

I know this may seem like a thing that everyone always does. But, for me, this is huge because, for the first time in literally years, I will be home during my dad’s birthday. I do have a wedding that day as well, but I want to still make time for him! I plan to take him out for either breakfast or lunch, and buy him something really cool, not just get him a gift card. He is the most hard-working man I know, and he is my hero, so… he totally deserves it and I want that day to be spent with the first man I love!

Lastly, and this is a big one for me… it’s to enjoy my vacation in Europe with my husband, and his family. I always scroll through the gram, Facebook, etc. because I truly feel like my business would fail if I don’t post every day. I know for a fact that it won’t fail, and I was always taught to be on every day for at least an hour if you want to get noticed. Well, guess what… I realized that life is precious and what matters to me more than posting on social media, is getting to explore the beautiful cities of Spain and Portugal with the man I love. So, my goal is to take off during those 13 days to relax and enjoy my travels!
